My Top 3 Places to Visit in Barcelona

If you’re planning on a nice vacation in Spain, the place that initially pops into your mind would be Barcelona. Being one of the most largest and populous city in Spain, the city of Barcelona boasts of gorgeous attractions, great food and lovely people. If you’re in for sightseeing then you’ve made the right choice with Barcelona. It hosts some of the most amazing buildings all throughout Europe. I’ll discuss which ones I’ve gone to and particularly my favorite ones.

If you’re going to Barcelona, definitely drop by the Sagrada Familia. The place is a church yet it is the city’s most popular tourist attraction. The construction of this church began during the late 1800s and believe it or not, it is yet to be finished and construction will continue for several more decades. With a museum and climbable towers, the place has been packed with tourists for the longest time. The top of the towers also offer a great view of the city.

Since you’re at the Sagrada Familia, why not visit the Casa Mila as well? Being just a few blocks away from the church, it was designed to be an apartment by the same architect as the Sagrada Familia, but what makes it so popular is it was built in a unique way that the place has no straight lines and everything else is shaped differently. A little bit about its history – when it was advertised as an apartment, no one bothered staying because of the unusual architecture but was eventually discovered as an art and eventually became a popular tourist attraction.

Font Magica or the Magic Fountain looks just like a regular fountain on a park but when the show starts, you’ll find that it’s actually not. During summer evenings when the fountain is activated, a tiny showcase of lights, water and music make it a major spectacle, attracting hundreds of people and making it one of the city’s top tourist attractions. This has been one of my favorite places to go to during the summer in Barcelona.

My vacation in Barcelona has been one of the top decisions I’m very proud of in my life. The place is beautiful, the people are really nice and the apartment in Barcelona that I rented was worth every penny. I always try to find myself a cheap accommodation in Barcelona which is conveniently located in tourist spots. Barcelona vacation rentals aren’t that hard to find – you just need to ask around whenever you’re there.
